Kaleb Eleby threw two touchdowns and ran for another and Western Michigan recorded its second bowl victory in program history, rolling past Nevada 52-24 in the Quick Lane Bowl on Monday. Sean Tyler rushed for 146 yards on 14 carries and returned a kickoff 100 yards for a touchdown for Western Michigan (8-5). Jaxson Kincaide, a Nevada transfer, rushed for 105 yards on 17 carries and scored two touchdowns. The Broncos' only other bowl victory came in the 2015 Bahamas Bowl against Middle Tennessee.

Compared with that one, the Quick Lane Bowl was practically a home game for them. "Doing it in Detroit is really special," coach Tim Lester said. "To have fans here, so many alumni here...tons of people from Kalamazoo made the trip. It was awesome to see the hotel alive last night. And to play the way we did, in front of them with their support, it all came together. It's a big deal." Nate Cox passed for 121 yards and a touchdown and Devonte Lee rushed for 85 yards and a touchdown for Nevada (8-5). Cox got the start after Carson Strong, who threw a school-record 36 touchdown passes, chose not to play in order to prepare for the NFL draft. The Wolf Pack was coached by assistant Vai Taua after Jay Norvell accepted the Colorado State coaching job. - Western Michigan/AP College Football

Hayden Wolff threw three touchdown passes to Ali Jennings III and Old Dominion saw a 21-point lead evaporate in the fourth quarter only to rally for a 56-34 win over Charlotte in the regular season finale Saturday to become bowl eligible for the first time in six seasons. Old Dominion's last appearance in a bowl game was in 2016, when the Monarchs defeated Eastern Michigan in the Bahamas Bowl. ODU is not guaranteed a bowl-game bid, however. Conference USA has seven guaranteed bowl bids, but after North Texas upset previously unbeaten UTSA it now has eight bowl-eligible teams. Jonathan Cruz kicked a pair of field goals to start the fourth quarter, pulling the 49ers within one, 35-34 with 10:04 left to play.

Blake Watson capped a 75-yard drive with a 2-yard run for his third score with 6:42 left and Wolff and Jennings hooked up for a 36-yard score with 3:49 to play to make it 49-34. The Monarchs added a touchdown when Charlotte quarterback Chris Reynolds was sacked and fumbled into the end zone, where Deeve Harris recovered for the final score. Jennings' career day included nine catches for 252 yards. Blake Watson carried 18 times for 115 yards and two touchdowns and Wolff finished 17 of 26 for 328 yards, but was picked off twice, once for a touchdown that brought Charlotte to within 28-14 at intermission. - Old Dominion/AP College Football

Moore caught 12 for 206 yards. Sean Tyler had 17 carries for 115 yards and scored the Broncos' sixth touchdown. Eleby and Moore connected for scores three times in the first half as Western Michigan took a 28-7 halftime lead. Northern Illinois managed just nine first downs and 31 yards passing.

The Huskies ran for 268 yards but lost two fumbles. Senior fullback Clint Ratkovich had a 96-yard touchdown run in his final home game. Antario Brown had TD runs of 44 and 41 yards. The Huskies (8-4, 6-2) had already clinched the MAC Western Division championship and will play for the league title for the eighth time in the past 12 seasons. They will be seeking their fifth championship in that span. Western Michigan (7-5, 3-4) picked up its sixth win against FBS competition.   Sean Tyler scored three touchdowns - one receiving, one rushing and the final one on a 96-yard kickoff return - and Kaleb Elleby threw two touchdown passes, including a 45-yarder to Corey Crooms with a minute left to play, to help Western Michigan escape with a 45-40 victory over Akron on Tuesday night. Tyler's 2-yard TD run gave the Broncos (6-4, 3-3 Mid-American Conference) a 17-7 lead with 3:02 left in the second quarter. Michael Mathison ran the ensuing kickoff back 94 yards for a touchdown to get Akron (2-8, 1-5) within three points, but Elleby answered with a 4-yard TD pass to Tyler with 24 seconds left to give Western Michigan a 24-14 halftime lead.

Tyler's kickoff-return TD put the Broncos up 31-17 and Elleby added a 1-yard TD run to make it 38-24 with 13:39 remaining in the game. Akron rallied to take a 40-38 lead on Zach Gibson's 11-yard TD pass to Konata Mumpfield, a 24-yard, pick-6 by defensive lineman Zach Morton and a 39-yard field goal by Cory Smigel with 2:22 left to play. Eleby needed just six plays to deliver the game-winning toss to Crooms. Eleby completed 12 of 20 passes for 217 yards with one interception. Tyler rushed for 147 yards on 16 carries, while La'Darius Jefferson ran for 99 yards on 19. The Broncos had 533 total yards, including 316 on the ground. Gibson connected on 26 of 40 passes for 305 yards for the Zips. Mumpfield finished with 11 catches for 122 yards and two scores, while Mathison hauled in eight passes for 112 yards. - Western Michigan/AP College Football
